Living to Think recently read and reviewed Bereft by Chris Womersley for the WWI Reading Challenge in 2012. Here’s a sample:
One of the best things about this book, it really allowed me a chance to put together several pieces I knew of this time period. Quinn and an army buddy visit a seance in London and that is woven into the plot a couple of times. It never really struck me how much grieving must have been going on between WWI and the flu epidemic.
