Review: COPPERHEAD by Bernard Cornwell

Some participants do not have blogs of their own, but we like to give them an opportunity to express their opinions about the books they read for the reading challenges.

In this case, Reva has sent along a few words on her recent read for the U.S. Civil War Reading Challenge.  She read Copperhead by Bernard Cornwell.

Here’s what she had to say:

This 2nd book in the Starbuck Chronicles delves into the soul-searching and self-recriminations of Starbuck and of Adam, the two school friends who both seem at odds with duty, honor and the expectations of others. Starbuck barrels on with passion and aplomb while Adam attempts to divide his loyalties, but to no avail.

Detailed, well-researched Civil War History as well as fleshed-out characters who make the reader want to press “on, on, on” toward Battle Flag, the 3rd SC adventure. 5 stars.

Thanks, Reva, for sharing your thoughts.
**Attention participants:  Remember to email us a link to your reviews, and we’ll post them here so we can see what everyone is reading!**
