Review: MR. LINCOLN’S T-MAILS by Tom Wheeler

Today’s Reading List reviewed Mr. Lincoln’s T-Mails by Tom Wheeler for the U.S. Civil War Reading Challenge 2011.  Here’s an excerpt:

Lincoln eventually opted for a blend of communication methods. For shorter messages, he would use the telegraph but for longer, more complex, more nuanced, more empathetic, he continued to use long-form letters delivered by personal messenger.

In essence, he created the model for electronic business management communications as we see them today, some 150 years after the fact.
