Review: THE HARLEM HELLFIGHTERS by Walter Dean Myers and Bill Miles

Got Good Reads??? recently read and reviewed The Harlem Hellfighters by Walter Dean Myers and Bill Miles for the WWI Reading Challenge in 2012.  Here’s an excerpt:

While I am not sure the beginning of the book would hold the total attention of a tween (as the author takes the time to discuss black history and the treatment of African Americans in all previous American wars); I learned much from this book and am passing it along to my 14 yr old to read today.

Unfortunately, the blog has been deleted and you can no longer view the full review.
