Review: WAR HORSE by Michael Morpurgo

Scrappy Cat recently read and reviewed War Horse by Michael Morpurgo for the WWI Reading Challenge in 2012. Here’s a sample:

Joey experiences many of the horrors of war.  Joey is the narrator of the book, and that works better than I thought it would.  The book is written for children aged 8 and up; I don’t often read children’s books, but I wanted to read this before seeing the movie.  It was a quick read; I’m a pretty slow reader and even I finished it in 2 days.
