Review: PRIVATE PEACEFUL by Michael Morpurgo

Semicolon read and reviewed Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo for the WWI Reading Challenge in 2012.  Here’s an excerpt:

I thought the novel itself, the story of Charlie and Tommo Peaceful, brothers who went to war together, was well-written and absorbing. Mr. Morpurgo kept me guessing until the end, and one of the minor characters, Big Joe, was so well-drawn that I wanted him to have his own book.
