Review: FOUNDING MOTHERS by Cokie Roberts

Avid Series Reader recently read and reviewed Founding Mothers by Cokie Roberts for the American Revolution Reading Challenge 2013.  Here’s a sample:

I recommend listening to the audio version, for the advantage of hearing the author tell the stories herself, with an occasional side comment. While their husbands were away, fully engaged as key players in the political struggle, the women had to manage the family business and/or farm, raise the family, and provide strategic information (such as troop movements) whenever possible.
